The Gustavus women's basketball team ranked 25th on the 2007-2008 NCAA Division III Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll released by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) on Tuesday. The Gusties posted a team grade-point average of 3.375, just three-hundredths behind MIAC member Augsburg, which finished 18th. The award recognizes teams throughout the nation that have the highest grade point averages (GPA) for the 2007-2008 season based upon nominations submitted by WBCA-member coaches. Four MIAC institutions were recognized by the WBCA, including Saint Benedict, which ranked fifth, Hamline, which ranked 11th, and Augsburg. Concordia (Wis.) finished first in Division III with a team GPA of 3.637.

Gustavus, which finished 18-10 overall and made its second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, had three players earn Academic All-MIAC, including Emily Nelson (Jr., Mankato, Minn.), Bri Radtke (So., Winsted, Minn.), and Julia Schultz (So., Marshall, Minn.).
